The General Assembly
The General Assembly of Members is the highest organ of STIKK. The General Assembly of Members have full powers to achieve the objectives and to ratify the vision and strategy of STIKK. In particular, the General Assembly have the powers to: Approve the Executive Board’s proposals for the policies and the program of STIKK; Approves and amends STIKK Statute and all By-Laws; Approves yearly budget and financial reports; Sets the level of subscription fees; Elects and dismisses members of the Executive Board, including here the President and the Vice-President of the Executive Board; Decides on the appointment of an auditor; Decides on dissolving the STIKK.
Executive Board
The Executive Board is composed of 7 Full Members and the Executive Director of STIKK. Members of the Executive Board, except the Executive Director, are elected and dismissed by the General Assembly. President, and in his absence Vice-President: Is responsible for implementation of the decisions taken by the General Assembly and by the Executive Board; Represents STIKK in regard to policy and program issues of STIKK; Leads the preparations for the Executive Board meetings and the meetings of the General Assembly and convenes these meetings. Mandate of the Executive Board Members is 2 years with a possibility for reelection. General Assembly can dismiss members of the Executive Board at any time.
Executive Director
Executive Director is appointed and dismissed by the Executive Board. The Executive Director reports to the Executive Board. The Executive Director responsibility is to manage and control the activities of STIKK on a daily basis. In particular, the Executive Director: is responsible for the functioning of the Staff of STIKK including personnel matters; ensures strict impartiality and neutrality of the Staff of STIKK; is responsible for the services provided to the Members; is responsible for the execution and implementation of STIKK policies and the program as determined by the Executive Board and approved by the General Assembly; is responsible for coordination between the Executive Board, the Members, the working groups and the committees of STIKK; Participates in the meetings of the General Assembly and the meetings of Executive Board; is responsible for the implementation of the approved budget. Performs other functions specified by the Executive Board in accordance to the Statute.
Working Groups, Committees
The Executive Board may, on a needs basis, set up committees, working groups, and other groups for issues of interest. Such groups can include external representatives and experts. In exceptional circumstances, working groups may also be set up by the General Assembly. Working groups and committees shall be governed in the matters concerning their composition, mandate, powers and duration by the By-Laws. These By-Laws shall be set by the Executive Board. The Executive Board shall appoint the Chairman for the group on proposals by the policy group.
